Salary – L5 to L10 (Fringe) £50,124 - £56,583

An additional responsibility allowance may be available for suitably qualified candidates.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed practitioner to lead our team of dedicated Maths staff who are determined to make a difference to the lives and futures of our young people. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to really have an impact and shape the Maths curriculum, as the school continues on its journey of improvement.

We are seeking to recruit a Curriculum Team Leader of Maths to:

·      Ensure the quality of teaching and learning continues to meet the high aspirations of our learners, providing them with the skills, knowledge and qualifications required for success in their chosen next steps

·      Innovate and develop an inclusive, inspiring and enriching Maths curriculum

·      Develop and maintain a rigorous system of monitoring, evaluating and improving the quality of teaching and learning  and student outcomes across the curriculum

As the successful applicant, you will have:

·      Evidence of successful Maths teaching at KS3 and KS4

·      An ability to develop and sustain successful relationships with pupils and colleagues

·      Recent, relevant professional leadership development

 

The Magna Carta School

TMCS is an 11-16 academy in the Unity Schools Trust based in Staines-Upon-Thames, with approximately 1150 students on role. The school is a founder member of The Unity Schools Trust and the 1215 Learning Partnership, determined to enhance lives for young people across this area of Surrey.

Our recently appointed Senior Leadership Team have a very clear school development plan in place to rapidly deliver the improvements we want to make. The school was graded ‘requires improvement’ in our Ofsted Inspection in June 2022.
