Customer Service Assistant Information Centre 12 Hours (Part Time, Term Time only 37 weeks per year)

Working 12 hours per week between 10am and 2pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for 37 weeks per year, term time only, a degree of flexibility is required. 

Working within the Student Services team, you will provide a high quality student reception and information service including:

  • To carry out a wide range of administrative tasks as requested by the line manager or other members of staff in respect of student services work. 
  • To liaise with parents and outside agencies as appropriate.  


We are looking for a candidate who ideally:  

  • Has a good standard of general education, 5 GCSE’s A-C including Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Has effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Has excellent administrative, recordkeeping, organisational and IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office software suite – Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook, and any other relevant software/database)

Luton Sixth Form College is a specialist Sixth Form College, providing academic and general vocational education for 16 to 18 year olds in Luton.

Established in September 1966, we are the oldest Sixth Form College in the country and have an enviable reputation for quality and excellence. We are also one of the largest, with more than 2,800 students taking a vast array of A Level and BTEC courses.

Our mission is to provide an outstanding education for young people at the College, and to work with other local providers to ensure that there are opportunities for all young people in Luton to succeed and progress.

The College is located in a quiet residential area in the north of Luton, with easy access from the town centre, A505, A6 and M1. Our site was redeveloped between 2008 and 2010 and the original grammar school buildings were replaced by a £56m campus offering state-of-the-art facilities and modern resources for staff and students.
