PANYATHIP INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL – THE BRITISH INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL IN LAOS, has entered into a partnership with the Royal Academy of Dance to deliver the first RAD dance programme in the country. The Royal Academy of Dance is a dynamic organisation dedicated to advancing standards of dance education and teaching, and to the promotion and development of dance worldwide. Through its Faculty of Education, the RAD is an Accredited Provider of Initial Teacher Training, offering internationally recognised qualifications including university-validated degrees, RAD awards and a Continuing Professional Development programme.

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Dance/Performing Arts Teacher to oversee the School’s dance programme and to support its performing arts provision through the delivery of high quality dance classes, performances and extra curricula activities. You will be responsible for developing a dance curriculum which you will teach to students at kindergarten, primary and secondary levels of study, as well as contribute more broadly to the school’s ethos and mission of developing a life-long love of learning and a sense of responsible citizenship. You will also develop a programme of Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus classes as an after school /Saturday morning dance club, with a view of entering students for RAD examinations. In addition to these activities, there is potential to offer additional private dance tuition and holiday programmes to enhance the stated salary.

You should be a committed and enthusiastic RAD qualified dance teacher (Registered Teacher Status) with a strong knowledge and understanding of pedagogical practices which inform the learning and teaching of dance. You will need comprehensive knowledge and/or experience of developing dance curricula which is educationally sound and culturally inclusive. You will have a strong knowledge, understanding and experience of teaching RAD syllabi across a range of age groups and abilities, with an interest in developing the work of the RAD in Laos.

Panyathip International School - The British International School in Laos, is a well-established International School having been founded in the Academic Year 2001-2002. From one Campus with a small number of students the school has grown to  5 Campuses in Laos.  

The School was initially registered as a Private Education Institute by the Ministry of Education and Sports as a Bilingual School as it offered both an English as well as Lao programme, but has now gained the recognition as The British International School in Laos. Over the 17 years, we have grown from a small primary school with an enrolment of 60+ students to the current school enrolment of 1,000+ students, from the Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary, at the four campuses in Vientiane as well as one campus in Savannakhet.
