Data Analyst Apprentice – Fixed Term (up to 24 months), Whole Year, Full Time, 37 Hours per week

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an aspiring Data Analyst to join our MIS Team at the college. This apprenticeship will introduce you to specialist and strategist knowledge with a strong focus on data analytics and develop fundamental competencies which will assist in furthering your understanding of data analysis and developing your future career/career pathway. It will involve delivering high quality and impactful performance information and include interpreting complex performance data and managing the production of high quality visual analysis, to ensure a robust and innovative data analytics service across the College.

Depending on your previous experience and level of qualification we would offer either:

  • A Level 7 Apprenticeship Scheme (Artificial intelligence (AI) data specialist) - you will need to be educated to degree level or above as well as being able to show you can apply advanced analytical and statistical methods in industry;
  • A Level 6 Apprenticeship Scheme (Digital and technology solutions professional or Data scientist) - you will need to be educated to degree level with some experience in data analytics / Business Intelligence; or 
  • A Level 4 Apprenticeship Scheme (Data analyst) – you will need to be educated to A-Level with experience in data analytics / Business Intelligence.

Previous experience in managing data and working with data warehouse environments, developing business intelligence products (including interactive visual reports), data modelling, and producing analysis using statistical software is needed.

Over the course of your apprenticeship you will be based within the MIS team. This on-the-job experience is geared to developing your knowledge, skills and behaviours in accordance with the apprenticeship standards. This scheme would suit someone who already has some programming experience or for those who wish to develop their existing knowledge on data analytics and to develop a more specialist and strategist knowledge in that specific field. 

The successful applicant will have an analytical mind with an ambition to develop this capability professionally, and a proven track record in delivering with a high attention to detail, in a timely fashion.

This is a varied and challenging role for which we are looking for an exceptional candidate to work within the team, ensuring that they provide a responsive, high quality service.

Depending on the level of apprenticeship the salary on offer is as follows:

  • Level 7 – up to £22,034
  • Level 6 – up to £19,524
  • Level 4 – £17,190
