An exciting opportunity has become available within The City of Liverpool College Groups MIS department for a Data Analyst.

The role is to work as part of the Business Intelligence team and is available for an ambitious candidate to join a fast-paced team with a wide and varied portfolio to establish an analytics function - working with existing reporting and data products to support curriculum and management staff to enhance the use of these products and support the business of the College.

The successful candidate should have some experience working as part of a BI or MIS team, ideally working with Power BI as an analyst to support customers in better understanding of reports and building out narrative reporting - marrying soft and hard intelligence to paint a better picture of issues and opportunities and support better decision-making. As a new function, the successful candidate should be proactive and able to build strong relationships. 

The college is looking for a candidate will a good eye for detail, good written and oral communication skills and an organised approach to schedule and mange competing priorities.

The role is responsible to the Deputy Director

Opened in 1992 after being formed from a number of colleges in the city we now have 5 locations situated in the heart of Liverpool. Currently the college serves more than a third of all 16-18 year olds in Liverpool, and educates almost 12,000 learners a year. In 2018 the college achieved a pass rate of 99.6% beating the national average of 97.6% for a-level results. Within this year as well we had a 100% pass rate in modern languages.

However, the college itself is not just facts and figures. The mission statement of provide high quality skills and education by delivering opportunities for growth to all people and business of the Liverpool City region, shows inclusivity and a community understanding. The ease in which to get here helps quite a lot to. Be it driving, buses, trains or even a ferry you are never short of options. 

Being that working/living in Liverpool does offer a wide range of experiences to have. Historical buildings like the Bombed out church, Royal court theatre house or even a hidden gem like the Bluecoat School lane which boasts being the oldest building in Liverpool. The Beatles museum is a popular place to explore the band and possible find bits out about them you might not have known. Or if just unwinding and relaxing there are multiple pubs/bars, restaurants, and comedy nights to enjoy.
