Milton Keynes Academy is a dynamic and ambitious secondary school serving the community of Milton Keynes. As an inclusive 11–18 academy, it offers a broad and engaging curriculum designed to ensure every student is well prepared for future success. The school emphasises high standards, strong relationships and a culture where students arrive ready to learn, engaged, and keen to make the most of the extracurricular opportunities on offer.
Led by Principal Gordon Farquhar, MKA is first and foremost a place of learning where students feel safe, supported, and motivated to achieve beyond their potential. Learning sits at the centre of everything we do, underpinned by high expectations, strong relationships, and a rich, relevant curriculum delivered by passionate subject specialists. Our staff work collaboratively within departments and across the Trust to ensure teaching is engaging, purposeful, and firmly connected to future pathways and careers.
Beyond the classroom, students benefit from a wide range of extracurricular opportunities shaped by student voice, encouraging leadership, confidence, and personal development. Our core values of Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Equality, and Aspiration guide daily life at the academy and are reflected in our motto: Dream, Believe, Succeed.
In May 2025, Ofsted judged The Milton Keynes Academy to be ‘Good’, recognising our strong culture of learning, care, and ambition. We are proud of our progress and excited about our future.
As part of the Creative Education Trust, staff and students at MKA benefit from being part of a national family of 17 schools, educating over 13,500 children and young people across England. Since 2010, the Trust has worked in close partnership with communities to deliver an education that inspires ambition, promotes equity, and unlocks opportunity for every learner.
