This placement opportunity offers the successful candidate the chance to gain practical experience using industry-standard tools to analyse diverse datasets in an educational context. You will also collaborate with data teams, school leaders and staff to make data-driven improvements.

As part of an 8-month placement, the Data & Analytics Intern will play a key role in supporting the Trust’s Data team. The intern will work closely with the Head of Data, Analysis & Insight, gaining hands-on experience data analysis, visualisation and reporting.


Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Pattern Identification:

Analyse attendance, attainment, and behaviour data across the trust to identify trends and insights that inform decision-making.

Assist in measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of educational and behavioural interventions using data-driven methods.

Data Visualization and performance benchmarking:

Create visual reports and dashboards to help schools benchmark their performance against other local and national schools.

Use tools and programming languages like Power BI, Power BI Report Builder, SQL, R, or Visual Basic to produce dynamic reports and dashboards for stakeholders.

Insight Report Development:

Support the creation of bespoke insight reports, translating complex data into actionable insights that are clear and meaningful for school leaders and staff.

Data Management Support:

Help with data entry, archiving, and cataloguing historical data to ensure it is organized and accessible for future analysis.
