Job overview

The University Schools Trust (UST) is exceptionally aspirational for the young people it currently serves and we are deeply committed to extending our work in order to have an even greater impact on educational outcomes for young people.

Established in September 2016, the UST currently comprises three member schools located in two London Boroughs:  St Paul’s Way Trust School - an Outstanding all-through school, Cyril Jackson Primary School – an Outstanding school, both in Tower Hamlets - and Royal Greenwich Trust School - a growing school in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

The UST has exceptional links with six world-leading universities and four sector-leading bodies and together we work collaboratively to deliver a shared vision of inclusive, high quality and transformational education delivered by schools which are deeply rooted in the communities they serve.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly skilled Data Controller to lead and implement a robust data scheme that provides effective and impactful data and data analysis for the Trust Schools and for the Trust as a whole, the outcome of which will directly and positively impact on the experience of our pupil’s, staff and community.

Specific key accountabilities will include:

• Data Analysis and Systems – ensure the effective management, recording and analysis of the Trust’s data including operational information, student’s academic and pastoral data, and the subsequent communication of the data analysis to allow for effective decision making.

• Quality Assurance and Compliance - ensure that the Trust complies with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements relating to the use and communications of data held by the Trust.

• Team leadership – lead, line manage, motivate and enthuse a small team of data staff across the schools in promoting high professional standards and achieving the Trust’s strategic goals.

If you would like to play your part in delivering outstanding provision for our Trust and students, we would very much like to hear from you.
