Job overview
We are seeking to recruit a capable and enthusiastic data manager with excellent IT skills and experience of data management to support the leadership team and governors by providing accurate and up-to-date information on all aspects of school performance.
We already have many effective systems in place for generating and analysing data, using a combination of SIMS and Microsoft Office software, predominantly Excel. You will be responsible for running these systems and working with the leadership team to review and develop our management of data as requirements change over time. The data manager works closely with our exams officer and has overall responsibility for data protection.
Experience of working with data in the context of a school is desirable.
We welcome applicants who are interested in either a full-time post (precise hours are negotiable but expected to be 37 hours per week, 48 weeks per year) or a contract covering school terms and a number of days during the summer holiday (37 hours per week and 41 weeks per year).
Chenderit is an over-subscribed and very successful school located a few miles from Banbury and with easy access to the M40. Situated on the edge of the village of Middleton Cheney in rural Northamptonshire, the school attracts a large number of students from outside its preference area.

Chenderit School is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in Middleton Cheney, near Banbury in Oxfordshire. It is an academy converter supported by a single-academy trust called the Chenderit School Academy Trust.
A larger than average secondary school, Chenderit provides 1,178 places for students aged 11-18 when fully subscribed.
The school converted to academy status in February 2012.

Chenderit School’s motto is “aim high, work hard, be nice”, which represents the respectful nature it encourages in its students as well as its high academic expectations.
