As well as excellent GCSE results, that are well above the national average, pupils at Golborne receive a well-rounded curriculum and a wide range of opportunities for personal development beyond the classroom. We provide exceptional pastoral care for our pupils and a package of CPD for teaching and support staff that delivers opportunities for career development at all levels.

Under the leadership of the Headteacher, Golborne is excited to continue our journey to delivering a world-class education for our students and to become a beacon of excellence at the heart of the community. We are the lead school for Wigan Institute of Education and work together with our partners to deliver Initial Teacher Training, school to school support, exceptional CPD and early career framework structures.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, suitably experienced and qualified person to join our school administration team. This role involves assisting with co-ordinating, tracking and analysis of progress and assessment data to ensure all stakeholders receive accurate and timely information. Additionally the successful candidate will support with the management of the curriculum, including setting and timetabling. We are in a position to appoint to this role as soon as possible, but the starting date will be negotiable for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, including English and Maths (minimum GCSE grade C / 4 or relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification), good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Please read the job description and person specification for full details before applying.

Shortlisted candidates will be subject to an online search. This is not part of the shortlisting process itself and the candidate will have the opportunity to address any issues of concern that come up during this search at interview.

We look forward to receiving your application should you be interested.
