About the Role

The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) collects data about school students with disability across Australia in a consistent, reliable and systematic way. In practice, such students receive reasonable adjustments from the school so that they are able to participate in education on the same basis as their peers, as required by the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and Disability Standards for Education.

The position of Data Specialist (NCCD) is officially known as NCCD Administration Officer, provides support to the NCCD Manager and the NCCD team. The support plays a pivot role in the continued funding for students with a Disability throughout for Catholic Education Archdiocese of Canberra Goulburn, through the collection and analysis of NCCD data. In addition, the position of NCCD Administration Officer will provide wider operational and administrational support for the NCCD Team.

Essential Criteria

  • Advanced knowledge and skillset in the use of Microsoft Excel and the development of pivot tables and other Excel functions to summerise and analysis large amounts of data correctly.
  • Proficient in the use of Power BI to create interactive data, ideal for presentation and analysis
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and facilitation skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels.
