Salary range: £67,971 per annum (Management Spine Point 28)

Reports to: Group Deputy Principal

Contract: Permanent

Reference: EL10488

The Dean of Higher Education is a member of the College Leadership Team and leads the higher education curriculum across Warwickshire College and University Centre (WCUC), as well as its research and scholarly activity.

WCUC has indefinite Foundation Degree Awarding Powers and it was the first institution to be awarded Bachelor Degree Awarding Powers so it can design and deliver awards up to level 6. The curriculum offer is varied including land-based degrees validated by a partner university and a range of our own degrees including creative technologies, engineering and counselling. Using our degree awarding powers, the College aspires to grow its higher education offer to include degree apprenticeships and higher technical qualifications. There is a need to explore previously untapped markets for students and also establish our international higher education offer.

With accountability for the leadership and management of the higher education curriculum, the post-holder will have a proven track record in increasing student recruitment and managing undergraduate programmes.

The post-holder will shape and implement the College’s higher education strategy ensuring it achieves the highest possible standards of excellence in learning and teaching leading to high levels of student satisfaction.

Any offers of appointment will be conditional and subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, a certificate of good conduct if applicable, plus receipt of satisfactory employment references, Occupational Health clearance, an understanding of safeguarding and qualifications verification. An Enhanced DBS check is required for this position as you will be working within 'Regulated Activity' within a specific place (i.e. the College).

Applications should apply by sending a copy of their CV to jobs@warwickshire.ac.uk

When selecting applicants for short-listing, the panel will consider the requirements listed in

We will be holding interviews on Friday the 16th of September.
