Required for September, 2023 a permanent full-time Deputy CEO for this local North Devon Multi Academy Trust of eight schools (seven primary and one secondary school), and partnership responsibility for a primary-based SCITT partnership.

Due to the successful growth of this Trust and further planned growth, the Tarka Learning Partnership is seeking to appoint a Deputy Chief Executive Officer with specific responsibility for the development of the school improvement strategy for primary schools. The previous postholder, Andy Ogden, has moved to another post as part-time Director for CPD within the Trust to develop this provision across schools and locally.

The ideal candidate will be an outstanding leader with the ability to listen to others, think strategically and empower people to support the development of schools and other partner organisations, respecting their individual identities. Relationships and well-being are critical to this partnership, and the successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, acting always with integrity and ensuring that staff and children/students remain at the heart of their role.

You will work with the Board of Trustees, the CEO and Trust Central Team to develop the Tarka Learning Partnership and improve outcomes for all. A team of three are dedicated to school improvement across the Trust.
