Thank you for your interest in joining GES. The role of Deputy Director of Finance and Head of Data Systems is a unique and challenging role for the right person. We are looking for someone with significant finance experience, experience of working with students' academic data and someone who understands IT systems to join us at this exciting point in our journey. This is a new, broad and challenging role but, for the right person, will offer the opportunity to have a significant impact on many parts of the school. Job purpose

  • To assist the Finance and Business Development Director in all aspects of whole school financial planning and operations to ensure that all aspects of financial management meet legal requirements.
  • To lead on all aspects of operational finance - fee collection, payment processing, club fees, ordering, budget and forecast creation.
  • To be responsible for the smooth running of iSAMS, the school VLE, Google for Education and connected internal data systems (Open apply, my school portal etc).
  • To be the lead contact with MSC IT - the schools network management company
  • With the Director of Finance and Business Development to ensure that the school is fully GDPR compliant

Person specification

This role is new to GES and we are looking for someone who can meet most of the requirements in the full specification (see the job pack attached to the advert). 

Essential Experience

  • A minimum of five years experience in a finance management role as well as working in an education environment.

Essential Qualifications

  • Swiss accountant qualification OR
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a Bursar or School Business Manager in an International or UK Curriculum School.
