Job overview

The Julian Teaching School Hub is based at Notre Dame High School in Norwich. Designated by the Department for Education, we provide high-quality professional development to teachers at all stages of their careers. We work to serve all schools in Broadland, King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, North Norfolk and Norwich.

Due to a growing number of schools using our services, we are looking to expand our senior leadership capacity. The Deputy Director will work closely with the current Director in both personally delivering and overseeing our Appropriate Body service, Initial Teaching Training, Early Career Teacher training and National Professional Qualifications.

The Julian Teaching School Hub works to unite schools to serve every child, by applying best bests for improving outcomes. We have formed partnerships both regionally and nationally to deliver the very best in education for every child in our region. We work with schools of all sizes and types, bringing the evidence of what works in classrooms and schools to life through exemplification. Therefore, applications from candidates with experience of working in any type of educational setting are welcomed.

The St John the Baptist Catholic Multi Academy formed in May 2016 and currently includes Notre Dame High School alongside nine Primary schools from across Norfolk, Suffolk and Peterborough. We are committed to the belief that everyone should be treated with fairness, justice, compassion, inclusiveness, love, respect. We work to ensure that all of our pupils have the opportunity for a quality education in a spiritual environment. We are also committed to reaching out to other schools to explore new approaches, develop best practice, and provide support, as shown by our work since June 2017 as Norwich Research School (part of the Educational Endowment Foundation’s Research Schools Network).
