Deputy Head (Academic and Pastoral)

Aldenham Prep School is seeking to appoint an outstanding educationalist. We are looking for an innovative and energetic Deputy Head (Academic and Pastoral).

Aldenham Prep School is an IAPS day school (3–11) and the Prep School to Aldenham School, situated in a magnificent Hertfordshire rural setting only 13 miles from Central London.

The school has high expectations of all the staff and expects a commitment to the essential co-curricular elements of school life. With 178 pupils our one form entry school prides itself on a nurturing, individualistic approach to an all-round excellent education. Aldenham Prep achieves outstanding academic and pastoral outcomes for its pupils.

Children come to us from the surrounding area and many have siblings in the Senior School. We also prepare our children for other leading independent senior schools.

The Deputy Head will act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, assist with all pastoral and academic policies, manage the day-to-day running of the school and deputise for the Headmistress.

The Aldenham Prep School Deputy Head will receive a salary commensurate with the responsibilities of their position, which will be above the Maintained pay scale.
