From its foundation in 1812, Woodhouse Grove has been a Christian school in the Methodist tradition and today is one of thirteen member schools that form the Methodist Independent Schools Trust (MIST).
This opportunity has arisen as a result of the retirement of Mr David Wood after 13 years of outstanding leadership and service as the School’s principal deputy. This is a crucially important post responsible for driving the School forward and working with the Headmaster as the lead Deputy on the delivery of the School’s exciting development plans.

About Woodhouse Grove School
Situated in beautiful parkland between Leeds and Bradford, The Grove is one school with three parts and provides a first class all-round education for boys and girls, day pupils and boarders, from ages 11 to 18. Our preparatory school, Brontë House, lays excellent foundations for ages 5 to 11; whilst Ashdown Lodge, provides fully-flexible, year-round, full and part-time, pre-prep and nursery facilities for 2 – 5 year olds.
With 1100 pupils we are large enough to provide a full curriculum and wide range of activities under the guidance of well qualified teachers, but small enough for each pupil to be known individually and to make their mark. We offer continuity of learning from nursery to the threshold of university and career. Day pupils and boarders alike enjoy the extensive facilities and special atmosphere.
