South Hampstead High School, the 2022 Independent Girls’ School of the Year, is seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated individual to join our Senior Leadership Team as Deputy Head (Co-curricular, Community & Careers).

As Deputy Head (Co-curricular, Community & Careers), you will play a critical role driving forward those two important strategic priorities, shaping the careers education of the school to ensure pupils are well-equipped for tomorrow’s world of work. You will have the opportunity to build on our existing initiatives, providing the chance to shape an exciting legacy at South Hampstead.

You will be an inspirational and outward looking educational leader who combines an eye for detail, with an intelligent understanding of key issues facing schools today. You will be able to provide a wealth of teaching experience, particularly within school management or Head of Department roles. A competent decision maker with the ability to work under pressure, you will need to move seamlessly between big picture and detailed thinking. As you will be working with a large number of staff, excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential to success in this role.
