We have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and well-qualified Deputy Head to play a key role teaching our inspiring and intelligent girls, and leading highly trained, passionate teachers.

You will be supporting the Head of the Junior School so that all pupils have the best possible care and potential to achieve the highest standards. As a lead practitioner, you will be able to establish creative and effective approaches to teaching and learning, oversee curriculum improvement and be instrumental in developing high standards for our pupils.

The role involves 50% teaching responsibility and will be tailored to your individual strengths and interests.

Candidates from a wide range of experiences are encouraged to apply. An interest in Upper Key Stage 2, 11+ entry and transition into Key Stage 3 is desirable but not essential.

About Sutton High School

Sutton High School is an academically selective independent day school for 900 girls with an age range of 3 to 18 years. We are situated on a green and leafy site in central Sutton, close to excellent public transport links and with specialist contemporary learning facilities such as Design Studios, a Ceramics Room, an Emilio Reggio EYFS Building, an amphitheatre and Oracy Space.
