The Role

Camden Adult Community Learning is a free at the point of access Local Authority Adult Community Learning Service targeting learners at most need in Camden. Our programs include Digital Inclusion, ESOL, Employability, Health and Well Being, Family Learning and English and Maths. All our learning is at entry level and delivered in the community where people live. In order to better facilitate the ongoing challenges of this way of working Camden Adult Community Learning is moving to becoming a direct delivery service next academic year. Currently around half of the service is sub-contracted to local colleges. The successful candidate/s will be responsible for the quality of provision across Camden’s Adult Community Learning service whilst leading on the strategic overview of the curriculum offer.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.

About you

The London Borough of Camden needs a senior quality and curriculum manager/s to help steer the Service on its next exciting phase of development. To be considered for this post it is essential the post holder has gained a Level 4/5 teaching qualification alongside a Level 2 in literacy and numeracy. The successful candidate/s will be familiar with all aspects of curriculum and quality management as well as being an experienced and effective leader and manager in the post 16/19 sector. A good understanding of the differences between FE and ACL is essential, as is experience at managing during a successful OFSTED. Additionally the candidate/s should have experience of producing effective SAR and Quality Improvement Plans.
