Are you looking to make a difference to the lives of young people with severe, complex and moderate learning difficulties and disabilities? Would you like to be part of a community and build your career within a college that is passionate about every individual child as well as their families?  Then you could be exactly the person we are looking for.

We are looking for an innovative, inspiring and experienced individual to join our team providing education to approximately 35 students aged from 19 to 25, the majority of whom are on the autistic spectrum.  You will have a B.Ed, or degree plus a PGCE and possess experience, enthusiasm and a keen interest in the SEN education sector.  Applicants are likely, or currently be in an Assistant Head role or be an experienced teacher holding additional leadership and responsibility duties.     

Your duties will include assisting the Head of College by leading the education provision for our students and working closely with our care and therapy teams.  Working in harmony with current SEND best practice and standards, the Sheiling College delivers a creative hands-on curriculum for day and residential students, including qualifications at Entry Levels 1, 2 and 3 in OCR Life and Living skills. We aim to provide holistic, innovative and effective care and education to match the interests, skills and aspirations of our students and meet their individual needs.
