An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Deputy Head to join our College. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic leader who is committed to achieving excellence and ensuring every child succeeds.  Although experience of working in Special Education is not a pre-requisite for this post, you should be able to demonstrate an approach to curriculum delivery that is exciting and innovative while also being sensitive to the needs of our students. It is imperative that you have high expectations, ambition, a love of challenge and a determination to make a difference to the lives of our fantastic young people.

Do you believe that every young person deserves a rich, rewarding and stimulating education? At Newfriars College we are passionately committed to harnessing the potential of every young person with Special Educational Needs. Do you believe that the College has a critical role in transforming learning and enriching the lives of young people and their families? Would you like to be part of something energetic, innovative and empowering? If so, we would welcome an application from you.

Newfriars College is a newly established College with 155 students aged between 16 and 25 who have a range of Special Educational Needs. At Newfriars, we are creating a vision that places our learners and their families at the heart of everything we do. The College is committed to a multi-disciplinary approach to meeting students' needs, and promotes high quality professional development for all staff.

Newfriars is part of Shaw Education Trust which is a growing, multi-academy trust based in Staffordshire, Birmingham and the North West. As part of the trust, our new colleagues will benefit from high quality professional development and will be supported in their career progression by our experienced leadership team. You will be an outstanding teacher willing to embrace and develop our collective values and ethics. In return your efforts will be recognised and rewarded and your contribution valued and celebrated by our whole College community. Our sole aim is to enable every one of our young people to thrive and reach their potential as well as enjoying their time at Newfriars.

If you would like to join us on our exciting journey, then please apply.
