Hexagon Care Services is a national provider of children’s homes, eight of which have a small specialist independent school on site. This is an exciting period of growth and development and Hexagon Care is seeking to appoint a Deputy Head of Education who will provide inspirational leadership and drive school improvement across a cluster of schools. Reporting to the Head of Education, the post holder will work within the education team to line manage and support a group of Headteachers.
The successful candidate will bring significant leadership experience and be able to demonstrate successful impact upon school improvement. You will be committed to improving the life chances and educational outcomes for young people and motivated to create a culture of constant improvement.
Hexagon Care Services head office is in Preston and there will be a need to visit and attend meetings there. However this role will be based across the country visiting our school sites. Candidates will therefore need to be flexible to travel.

Our small independent schools educate boys and girls aged 11-17.The schools with their experienced head teachers and staff teach many pupils with a range of complex needs, who have struggled in previous educational placements.

The range of subjects is varied to make sure everyone gets an education tailored to their exact needs. At Key Stage 4, pupils can then choose to study a range of externally accredited courses, including Entry Level, Functional Skills, ASDAN and GCSE. Our Schools may also liaise with alternative providers to create a truly personal, needs-led curriculum.
