Do you want to make a difference to the lives of 1600 of Sandwell's finest young people? Could you be the one to assist in the development of a gregarious and forward looking English team? Then this could be the role for you!   

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an English Specialist as a Deputy Head of Faculty for Communications, comprised of English and MFL.  You will be responsible developing and managing our KS3 English curriculum, ensuring outstanding teaching and learning for the delivery of vibrant, appropriate and up to date schemes of work and assessment; other faculty wide roles are negotiable. 

There will be the opportunity to performance manage and mentor new staff, thereby developing managerial and leadership skills.   

At Oldbury Academy, we lead by example so the candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and have a thorough knowledge of the English curriculum. Most importantly, the right candidate will prioritise the progress of all children and be able to work alongside key post holders within a fast paced, dynamic Faculty. Initiative and flexibility are essential. Experience of data and staff management are highly desirable.
