Vision and values
The Roundhill Academy’s motto is "Achieving success through learning together". It seeks to provide a learning environment that suits every individual’s needs. Teachers want students to become lifelong learners who develop the skills, values, character and attributes necessary to become global citizens able to meet the demands and challenges of the 21st century.
The secondary school promotes four key values: reflect, respect, resilience and responsibility. It hopes to help pupils engage with their local and global community and reach their full potential.
The curriculum is broad and balanced, emphasising the core subjects of English, maths and science and matching them with the creativity of music, drama, art and design, and technology. Students also have classes in ICT, PE, humanities and languages.
Ofsted report
“Teaching across the school is typically good and sometimes outstanding. The very good relationships between teachers and students means that students are keen to try new things and respond enthusiastically to the opportunities they are given. Students work hard and listen carefully to their teachers.”
