The Junior School at Brighton College Al Ain provides outstanding care and education for young children, from Foundation Stage 1 to Year 5.


Applications are warmly welcomed from excellent practitioners who wish to be considered for the Deputy Head (Head of Early Years) position and a member of the Junior School Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will lead a strong team of teachers and teaching assistants across FS1 and FS2, leading and managing the transition into Year 1. 

The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree, be able to demonstrate a range of teaching and leadership experience and possess a very clear understanding of the characteristics of outstanding teaching and learning.


You will be a proactive and emotionally skilled individual who is a natural team player. In particular, we seek individuals who prefer working in a child-centred environment, who are used to delivering an emergent curriculum and have experience of the principles of a Reggio Emilia Inspired approach. Additionally, we wish to appoint candidates who understand the importance of personalised learning and the need for EYFS focused assessment for learning strategies to ensure all pupils make excellent progress and optimal attainment.


All members of the teaching staff are expected to take part in our admissions process for new pupils and contribute to the wider community life of Brighton College Al Ain.
