Job overview

We are looking for an ambitious teacher who is ready to lead at a senior level at our two-form entry school. The primary phase is part of Edmonton County School - a 4-18 ‘all through’ school serving the Edmonton community.  

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of:

· Leading a core subject such as literacy or mathematics;

· Taking responsibility for a significant areas of school improvement

· A record of successful teaching, preferably in more than one key stage.

The post offers all the benefits of working in a small school with the possibilities that come from being part of a larger organsiaiton. We share professional learning , and staff across the 4-18 school learn together.

Being a smaller school, it’s important that the successful candidate is an enthusiastic, creative, motivational and inspirational teacher. We have to demonstrate high expectations for all pupils and a commitment to raising standards through quality teaching and learning. 

This is an ideal position for an ambitious leader who is seeking to lead a school in the future. The leadership team of the primary phase comprises the head, deputy head and three assistant heads. This post gives considerable scope to develop your leadership and management skills. This is a substantial role in raising standards across the school.

Edmonton County Primary Phase currently has 10 classes that consist of Reception through to Year 5.
