Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are in the unique position of seeking an interim Deputy Head of Primary on a 1-year contract starting from August 2023, with the possibility to apply for the permanent role in Term 1. The right candidate will take responsibility for working with our EYFS and KS1 team. An understanding and experience of Safeguarding systems and practices would also be an advantage.

Our Primary School at Dover Court is a large, 1200 student inclusive community of learners from diverse backgrounds, cultures and nationalities enjoying exceptionally harmonious and productive relationships. As Deputy Head of Primary, you will support the Primary Leadership Team in developing teaching and learning, supporting our continuous improvement, and ensuring the smooth running of the Primary School.

You will, work with and through the Heads of Year to develop learning, teaching and the curriculum. Ensuring we are delivering our vision for high quality teaching and learning. You will also liaise closely with our wonderful community to support us in working in partnership with families.

The role requires an outstanding leader, who ensures high standards of achievement for all students through the development of learning, teaching and the curriculum, to collaborate and work with the DCIS Senior Leadership Team (whole school) to develop and promote the school’s vision and mission and to ensure exceptional care for students and professional development for all teaching staff.

Resulting in a rich and varied co-curricular offer for our students, with our school active and competitive in the local international school sports league across a number of sports. The school has an extensive programme of residential trips starting in Year 3 up to the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in Secondary.

We are also members of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) and are accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
