The Principal and Governors of The De La Salle Academy are seeking to appoint an innovative and creative senior leader to the post of Deputy Head of School. We are seeking the right person and experience for our setting, specific responsibilities will be determined following a successful appointment.  

The Deputy Head of School will work alongside the Principal and Head of School to guide this the Academy through its next stage of development and will: 

  • Be a strong, energetic leader who can compliment and support the Principal’s vision for educational improvement. 
  • Be committed to continuous improvements in student wellbeing and progress, through high standards of behaviour and high quality teaching. 
  • Have a track record of innovative, successful and effective senior leadership. 
  • Be on a journey of ongoing leadership development. 
  • Preferably be a practising Roman Catholic. 

The Deputy Head of School will be 3 ic to the Principal and Head of School and will operationally lead staff and students on a day to day basis in aspects of academy operation, strategy and improvement. 

The De La Salle Academy, Liverpool is a growing 11-18 boys' Catholic Academy, situated in north-east Liverpool. Which has recently completed an extensive buildings renovation programme and represents an attractive option for prospective students. We were judged 'Good' by Ofsted in June 2013 and are awaiting our next inspection.  Our mission statement is ‘inspiring people, breaking boundaries,’ which is underpinned by our beliefs which are centred round our Lasallian ethos.
