Over the last five years The Bishop David Brown School has transformed but we have the drive and desire to do more and we are looking for a skilled Deputy Head of School who has the same desire as all of our stakeholders. 

The successful candidate will be understand the context of our School and the community it serves. You must be an outstanding and innovative teacher who is able to demonstrate their track record as a strong, strategic leader and demonstrate the impact you have made at your own School. You must be visible and share the same passion for transforming young people’s life’s that all staff at Bishop David Brown School do.

Bishop David Brown is passionate about providing a well-rounded education for its students, not only academically but culturally and artistically. This is provided through its diverse and rich curriculum that makes a major contribution to the students’ moral and cultural development.

Bishop David Brown is part of the Unity Schools Trust which is a Multi-Academy Trust formed in September 2015 by the partnership of The Magna Carta School and Bishop David Brown School.

The stated objective of Unity Schools Trust is to achieve Excellence through collaboration. The Trust aims to instil a love of learning by the full engagement of all of its community- students and staff- in the process of acquiring and applying knowledge and engendering the positive habits which support future development.

Bishop David Brown is a rapidly improving school with excellent opportunities for professional development for the successful candidate.

Under the leadership of a motivated and supportive leadership team the staff are offered every opportunity to develop their skills including an excellent middle leadership structure. The school is at the centre of a regeneration project of the local area that will see rapid change to the facilities and environment of local people.  Bishop David Brown has been identified by the local authority as a growing school that will double in size in the next five years.  This growth will also result in renovated and updated facilities for staff and students.
