Job Purpose

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and driven Deputy Head of Science with flair and creativity who can bring the subject to life for our students and work collaboratively with our Head of Science to drive an engaging and innovative curriculum.  The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher with a passion for changing young people’s lives.   


Main duties and responsibilities

  • Be an outstanding practitioner with a passion for Science
  • Have a proven track record of raising attainment and be able to demonstrate success at GCSE and A level
  • Have high expectations for accountability and consistency 
  • Have experience of leading and coaching others
  • Have the resolve to make a real difference to the lives of young people
  • Be committed to Stoke Damerel’s ethos of high expectations and no excuses.
