Job overview

Swanshurst is an ‘Outstanding School’ for girls with 1760 students on roll aged 11-19 years.  We offer excellent support and CPD for staff at all levels of their career.   “Middle leaders are well supported in their work and appreciate the well-established, clear and direct working relationships that they have with senior colleagues” (Ofsted 2017).  Ofsted (2017) found pupils at Swanshurst to be “happy, well cared for and that they secure excellent academic and personal outcomes”.  They described the girls as “polite, respectful and courteous”.  Needless to say, we are incredibly proud of them and of all our staff who have contributed to the “purposeful learning culture within the school that characterises the work of staff and pupils”

So, if you are an outstanding practitioner, and would like to join us in our continuing journey, then please read on.

• Have experience in leadership and the ability to manage and motivate a large department successfully and collaboratively alongside the Head of Science. Developing all staff within their team to achieve their full potential as practitioners.

• Have excellent references and appraisal documentation to support their application.
