You bring a relentless focus to improving teaching and learning and are an expert in using data to analyze student achievement and develop appropriate programs, strategies and interventions.

Northbridge International School Cambodia

Established in 1997, Northbridge International School in Phnom Penh, Cambodia is one of the leading IB Schools in both Cambodia and the region.
The school currently caters to students from 2 to 18 through the IB continuum of PYP, MYP and DP programs. The school is active in the Local and Regional Sports associations and are extremely competitive across Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball and Swimming. The school has an extensive programme of residential trips starting in Grade 5 with the Mission in Action, as they are known, focusing on adventure, service and team building. The school is a member of EARCOS, ASAC and WASC.

About the role

Join our fast-paced international environment, and you will lead the delivery of the Diploma Programme. You will challenge students and teachers to set ambitious targets for themselves and seek out and implement innovative teaching practices to enhance the student experience and outcomes.

The Deputy Head of Secondary School reports to the Head of School and directs the continuous development and refinement of teaching and learning from Grade 11 and 12.  As such, the Deputy oversees all aspects of the curriculum, supports and promotes the implementation of best practice in teaching and learning and ensures compliance with IB authorization, WASC accreditation and associated requirements.

About you

Able to support a culture defined by NAE ‘Be Ambitious’ ethos where there are no limits to what be achieved. You will have a degree in your specialist subject, a teaching qualification plus considerable teaching and Middle Leadership experience and knowledge of the curriculum. Receptive to feedback and a growth mindset always ready to embrace change, reflective on both successes and failures and keen to share best practice with colleagues and peers.

A strong entrepreneurial spirit and an ambassador for the school, you will be able to develop new ways to engage students and parents with the wider school and Nord Anglia Education community. Your strong motivation and communication skills will also enable you to create a feeling of energy, excitement and personal investment within the classroom.

Selection Process

  • The closing date for application is March 30th, 2019.
  • Initial long list interviews will be conducted via Skype
  • Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to Cambodia for interviews on 19th/20th November.
