Warwick Junior School have over 250 boys on roll with three forms in each year group. The majority of our intake transfer from Warwick Preparatory School at 7+ with selective entry for external candidates. Nearly all our boys transfer at 11+ to Warwick Senior School. Our staff and boys are very proud to be part of Warwick Junior School. Our school motto ‘Altiora Peto’ guides our approach to all aspects of school life. We are ambitious for our boys. Our learning skills help guide our practice in the classroom and beyond. We want our boys to leave the Junior School confident but not arrogant, independent in thought and keen to embrace all opportunities on offer. We aim to challenge our boys and help them understand that mistakes are an inevitable and valuable part of the learning process. Whilst progressive and keen to embrace change, we are traditional in the values we hold of care, courtesy and consideration to others.
We wish to appoint an outstanding individual, able to inspire and motivate both colleagues and boys. The Deputy Head is a key member of our academic and pastoral team. We seek not only an outstanding classroom practitioner but someone able to deal with parents, boys and colleagues with integrity, experience and kindness. The Deputy Head plays an active part in school life and therefore the successful candidate will require the ability to actively manage complex situations. They will remain calm, positive and a consistent role model to all in our community, promoting the Warwick School values.
