Bickley Park School is looking to appoint an inspiring, emotionally intelligent and approachable leader with proven experience of working in Senior or Middle Leadership. The Head has delegated to the Deputy Head Pastoral day-to-day responsibility for providing exceptional pastoral care to the boys and staff in the school. They will work alongside other members of the Senior Leadership Team to lead, guide and manage Bickley Park Preparatory School, an IAPS day School for boys of 2 ½ – 13 years.
The post holder will also be the School’s Designated Safeguarding Lead. The Deputy Head Pastoral is the Designated Safeguarding Lead and has primary responsibility for the provision of pastoral care within the school. They will advise the SLT on matters of process, policy and strategy with particular emphasis on pupil discipline, pastoral care and safeguarding. They will ensure development of the social and emotional curriculum throughout the school, including relationships education.
Bickley Park School is an IAPS Independent School for boys aged 2½ - 13: sisters of siblings also attend the nursery. The school is situated in London's greenest London Borough, on the fringes of Kent and with excellent train links to central London. The Pre-Prep and Prep sites are located three hundred metres apart on Page Heath Lane in Bromley.
