Thank you for considering Atlantic Academy Portland for your next appointment. We are looking for an outstanding leader to make a difference in our exciting Academy. Atlantic Academy Portland is a new Reception to Year 11 Academy, and has already made great waves in transforming the education of the students of Portland, leading the way in the highest standards of education for the students of Weymouth and Portland. We are looking for somebody to join our amazing journey and be proud of the substantial impact they make to the outcomes and aspirations for our students. Atlantic Academy is part of an outstanding Multi Academy Trust and has a dynamic, flexible and hard-working team who enjoy being involved in the decision making process.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, talented senior leader who has successful primary school experience in a leadership role and is an outstanding teacher. Applicants will bring a proven track record of raising educational standards; be a strategic thinker, good communicator, effective time manager and work well under pressure. 

The role

Through outstanding teaching and leadership, ensure that all of our pupils succeed, despite potential barriers. 

Promote the values and conditions of the Aspirations Academy Trust.

Lead and manage key aspects of the academy such as assessment.

Support the Head of Primary in the strategic leadership of the academy.

Develop outstanding teaching and learning practice across both Key Stage one and two.

Full member of the whole Academy Senior Leadership Team

Our Academy

Atlantic Academy is an all-through school based in Portland, and has already made great waves in transforming the education of students in Portland in the last 4 years, leading the way in the highest standards of education as well as disruption free learning.  Atlantic Academy is gaining a local and national reputation for rapid sustained improvement.
