Gearies Primary is a 3 form entry school due to expand to 4 form in September. We are in the process of restructuring our leadership team and are looking for an excellent leader to join our existing strategic leadership team.

As a Teaching School we offer great opportunities to develop your career. We are at the heart of developing teaching, leadership and learning in our educational community. We offer many opportunities to engage in learning around the art of education.

The job is a non class based role that involves:

• significant strategic leadership
• a day for planned class cover
• team working with the rest of the SLT
• managing the midday period
• leading on curriculum development
• co-line managing Senior Leaders
• leadership of the safeguarding and pastoral teams

We are looking for someone who:

• wants to develop their existing leadership skills
• can lead on our safeguarding responsibilities
• enjoys being challenged

We would prefer someone with:

• studies at Masters level
• an English curriculum speciality
