Job overview

Moon Hall School is going from strength to strength. We are experiencing our highest ever pupil numbers and by Easter our school is to be at full capacity.

Following on from the retirement of our current excellent Deputy, we are looking to recruit an inspirational and enthusiastic individual.

Our school starts at year 3 and finishes in year 11 and we are situated 2 minutes outside of Reigate in the beautiful Surrey hills.

If you feel that you would like to make a difference to a child's life then Moon Hall  Reigate is the school for you.

If you would like to work in an environment where your colleagues value and support you, where the staff in your care are passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated, then Moon Hall is the school where you will experience this.

Our pupils have excellent behaviour, wonderful manners and an abundance of respect for their teachers and staff around the school.

This role will be extremely rewarding for the right individual. You will be joining an experienced Senior Leadership Team who will support and guide you if you are new to Leadership or indeed if you are more experienced then we are all keen and willing to learn new things too.

All of our pupils are Dyslexic, we have some pupils that will go onto achieve 8's or 9's in their GCSE's and some who may achieve a 3 or a 4 as this is an achievement for them. We are ambitious for every individual at our school. It is all about the individual journey here.

We are an Independent Mainstream school that offers specialist Dyslexia teaching and are inspected by Ofsted under the Independent Schools Standards.

Moon Hall School, Reigate: A Mainstream Dyslexia Specialist School

About Us:

Moon Hall School, Reigate, is dedicated to supporting pupils with dyslexia from Year 3 to Year 11. We provide our students with the opportunity to access the mainstream curriculum, helping them bridge the gap between their current attainment and their true potential. Our tailored curricular provision respects the unique learning strategies of each pupil, ensuring they acquire, assimilate, and communicate information at their own pace through a variety of teaching approaches and experiences.

Our Aim:

We strive to cultivate independent learners who are confident and capable. Under the leadership of Headteacher Michelle Catterson (BSc, PGCE, NPQH, SpLD Level 3), a BDA Board Trustee and APPG member for Dyslexia, we are committed to helping every pupil achieve their full academic and co-curricular potential. While literacy and numeracy are our main priorities, we also focus on personal development, preparing our students to succeed as adults in the ‘real world’.

Mission and Vision:

Our mission is to support every pupil in reaching their full potential, both academically and personally. We believe in teaching to each individual’s ability, ensuring that every student feels valued and supported. Our vision is to create a nurturing environment where students can thrive and develop the confidence and skills needed to access the curriculum and succeed in life.
