Job overview

We’re looking to recruit a Deputy Headteacher who will inspire our pupils in the classroom by delivering innovative curricula and by giving them the confidence to think big for themselves as they progress through our academy. This is a permanent post in a high performing Academy in North Birmingham.

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative and professional addition to our leadership team.  You will be a qualified teacher with Leadership experience with training towards a Deputy Head Teacher or aspiring Head Teacher – NPQH.

Happy to work with the leadership team and support the Head Teacher with the ability to lead from the front and continue to achieve the high standards the academy already enjoys as part of a multi academy trust.  

You will be used to

  • Working with complex child and funding related data 
  • Supporting teaching and learning staff across whole academy
  • Ability to create strategic plans alongside the Head Teacher
  • Show capacity to step up and be the key point of liaison for staff at academy level
  • Experience of leading Pastoral Care

North Birmingham Academy is a co-educational academy school based in Birmingham for students aged 11-19.

The school underwent major redevelopment in 2013 and is built over 10,500m2 set in over 16 acres of landscaped grounds.
