Deputy Head Teacher

Mapledene Primary School is a good school, it is a 1.5 form-entry mixed community school for pupils aged 3-11 years, which currently has 360 pupils on roll.

Due to the retirement of our Deputy Head Teacher, the newly appointed Head Teacher and Governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and outstanding practitioner to join our leadership team from September 2017.

We are looking for someone who:

• Can lead by example and has high expectations of attainment and progress across key stages;
• Has proven ability and skills to lead, manage and inspire pupils, staff and Governors;
• Works in partnership with pupils, staff, parents, Governors and the community;
• Will seek to maintain and build on existing strengths and good practice;
• Can inspire and motivate;
• Will promote inclusion and diversity;
• Will continue to develop an innovative, creative approach to learning and teaching;
• A commitment to and a good level of knowledge of current safeguarding practices;
• Is an excellent communicator who will be an effective advocate for the school in the wider community.
