Deputy Head Teacher

St. Matthew’s (Little Lever) is a Church of England Primary School in the heart of Little Lever.

We place the Christian Values of Faith, Hope, Love, Honesty and Justice at the centre of all that we do. Our community of children, parents, staff and governors work actively in partnership to enable all children to realise their full potential and provide pupils with every opportunity to flourish academically and develop their skills and talents as individuals within a strong and established ethos.

Due to the promotion of the previous post holder, the Governors of this good school wish to appoint an effective and enthusiastic Deputy Head Teacher. We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and dedicated leader to work in partnership with the head teacher and senior leadership team, to build on our successes and drive the school forward in future development and growth. The position is a great opportunity for a leader who wants to grow and develop within a very supportive and effective leadership team.

• Has high expectations of themselves, pupils and staff and has a passion for enabling all children to reach their potential;
• Is extremely driven and committed to working with the St. Matthew’s  team to secure continued improvements
• Has a good understanding of assessment and pupil progress

An informal visit to the school is encouraged and warmly welcomed either during the school day or after school. In order to keep everyone safe there will be some restrictions in place that may limit interactions with children and other adults. However, we are sure that a visit will enable you to find out just what the St. Matthew’s community is all about.
