Welcome!  A rare and exciting vacancy has arisen for a deputy head teacher.  This is a full time position and a great opportunity to be part of something special; we are incredibly proud of our school and strive to provide a warm, caring environment in which to work.

With support from the Headmistress the person will hold responsibility for the day to day management and leadership of the main school. The role also includes a high % of teaching commitments and it is imperative that the candidate can teach English to a high level in our upper school in particular (years 3 to 6). The ability to offer a second subject – art/languages or games would also be an advantage.

Hunter Hall School is truly unique.  It has undergone a transformative journey over the last 32 years to the school it is today. This post is an exciting opportunity to join it on the next part of its journey.

For experienced or emergent leaders the post offers excellent prospects for development. It is expected that the successful candidate will aspire to headship in the future and the Headmistress will do all she can to support the right candidate.

We are a school of under 100 pupils with small class sizes and a developing pre-school offering the best quality of care. We are located in a farm setting with buildings transformed from cow sheds and milking parlours to classrooms over the years. Our curriculum both inside and outside of the classroom is extensive and our end product (the children of course!) go on to a number of significant senior schools both in the state (including grammar) and independent sector equipped with life skills for the future.
