Highfields Inclusion Partnership is a Pupil Referral Unit for Y7 to Y11 students who have been, or are at risk of being, excluded from mainstream schools. Many of the students are expected to stay at Highfields for two/three terms, then return to a mainstream school or transfer to a specialist provision.

There are currently 2 sites: the main site at Brinnington offers full time education to 85 students, in class sizes of 5, replicating a curriculum similar to that of a mainstream school; and the smaller site at Parkview, which provides short term placements to students awaiting a return to their original, a fresh start or specialist school; and also an alternative, vocational focussed provision for disengaged Y11 students.

Our aim is to re-engage students in education, enabling them to return to school or to move on to successful post 16 placements. Often the education packages are personalised to suit individual needs and include a variety of other interventions as part of a full wrap around service.
