The Governors and Head Teacher of High Bank Junior, Infant and Nursery School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, creative and dynamic Deputy Head teacher to work closely with the Head Teacher, staff, children and parents of the school.

High Bank School is a Junior, Infant and Nursery school that was rated good by Ofsted in April 2016. We take pride in being an integral part of the local community and provide a safe, secure environment, where children’s self-esteem and confidence are of paramount importance. Positive adult role models ensure all our children are provided with examples that will encourage mutual respect for one another and a caring and hard-working ethos. We have approximately 150 children on roll ranging from Nursery to Year 6.

 We are looking for a Deputy Head teacher who will:

  • inspire high quality teaching and learning by modelling excellent practice
  • expect and promote high standards in all areas of school life
  • lead, motivate and support children and staff
  • have strong leadership and management skills
  • contribute to the school’s strategic development
  • be committed to continuing professional development
  • have the experience or ability to develop effective provision for children with Special Educational Needs across the school
  • lead the school on the assessment of pupils’ progress

This is a full-time post with some varied teaching responsibility. Non-contact time will be given to ensure leadership and management duties can be accomplished.
