North Ridge is a specialist support school for pupils with persistent and complex special educational needs, aged 11-19 years.We opened in September 2006. We are an outstanding school (Ofsted 2014) and a National Support School (February 2016). Are you looking for an exciting challenge? Due to the expansion of North Ridge and possible federation with another Manchester Special School the Governors seek to appoint a dynamic, hard working individual to this post who will live up to our school motto of “do your best”. You will have significant experience as teacher of SEN pupils, experience of working in a special school is desirable but not essential.

• You will be able to teach pupils with special educational needs.
• You will have experience as a middle manager, be an excellent teacher and have aspirations to develop your leadership skills further.
• You will be responsible for leading major areas of school development and supporting the Exceutive Head Teacher and Head of School in the day to day running of the school.
• A committment to team work is an essential attribute.
