Job overview

Roch Community School is a successful primary school situated in the coastal village of Roch in Pembrokeshire.  It is a welcoming and supportive school with enthusiastic pupils (pupils on roll – 152) and a dedicated team of staff. This appointment offers an exciting challenge to add further value to our school (ESTYN inspectors in 2015 rated the school as Good with Good prospects for improvement).

The Governors wish to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic teacher to support the leadership of our school in providing a secure, happy, healthy and caring environment in which all children and staff flourish, and achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Be an inspirational and enthusiastic professional who will provide vision, strong leadership and direction
  • Work in partnership with pupils, staff, governors, parents and the wider community
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership skills
  • Lead excellence in teaching and learning
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and energy to help lead our dedicated staff
  • Be passionate, lead by example, have high expectations of both staff and pupils  
  • Show a commitment to promoting an inclusive ethos to secure the highest possible standards for all pupils

Selection will take place over two days 10th and 11th March 2016, and will contain both practical and interview based assessments.
