We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic leader who shares our ‘Whole Person, Whole Point’ ethos and will relish the opportunities and challenges of working in the UK’s leading Co-educational Boarding and Day School. 

The successful candidate will have a track record of successful leadership in either the maintained or independent sector.  They are likely to have successful experience either as a Housemistress/ Housemaster or as a member of Senior Management.  The successful candidate will work very closely with the Head, playing a key role in day-to-day leadership and management of the School.  They will also play an important strategic role, including contributing to the highly successful and dynamic Rugby School Group. 

Rugby offers the International Baccalaureate Diplomas Programme alongside A Levels in the Upper School.  The School is delighted to offer all students the chance to study the IB, a programme closely aligned with Rugby’s ethos of developing the whole person.  No prior experience of the IB is required, but the successful candidate must be attuned to the values of holistic education that are integral to the IB. 

Rugby is renowned for its highly successful and innovative approach to education. As a coaching school we are looking for staff who are committed to a professional obligation to improve as teachers and who value personal growth.  

The School is a boarding and day school in full operation seven days per week including evenings during term time.  Pastoral, co-curricular, cultural and sports activities take place outside normal day-school hours.  All staff are expected to make a full contribution.  Accommodation is provided for all full-time teaching staff.  The Deputy Head will receive accommodation reflecting the seniority and importance of the role.
