Maples is a thriving, multicultural Children’s Centre with high aspirations for its children and staff. We have developed from an original maintained nursery school and now welcome 2, 3 and 4 year olds to our nursery and, through the children’s centre, provide a range of support services for families of young children in the local area.  

Maples has earned a place at the heart of the local community on the back of our absolute commitment to every child in our care and our passion for their individual learning. We are also lucky enough to be in a lovely situation on the edge of Acton Park with our own large and very lovely outdoor play area.  

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher/deputy head with a strong commitment to early year’s education and inclusive practice. This vacancy presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher, with knowledge and experience of working with young children with special educational needs.  

If you are  

• an experienced nursery teacher with at least three years experience 

• interested and excited by how young children develop and learn 

• committed to a play based, child centred curriculum 

• have knowledge and experience of working with young children with special educational needs 

• and would like to develop your skills to lead early years practice  ………

then you are the person we are looking for!  

This is a full time post and the deputy head will be SENCo for children over three years and have teaching responsibility three days per week.
