Deputy Headteacher, All-through school

From September 2018 Sandown and The Bay CE Primary will open as the Isle of Wight’s first and only all-through school.

The all-through school will extend up to age 16 years and the quality and ethos of the Cornerstone Federation which already operates The Bay CE Primary School and Niton Primary School will be clear. Both schools have been rated as ‘good’ by OFSTED and most recently The Bay passed its SIAMs inspection with flying colours.

From September 2018, the all-through school in Sandown will provide education for children aged 4 to 16 years at The Bay CE Primary School and the former Sandown Bay Academy site at The Fairway, Sandown, Isle of Wight.

We are looking to appoint an outstanding Deputy Headteacher to join our senior team in our upper site.. This post will provide the right person with an exceptional opportunity to play a lead role in this transforming process at the upper school.

 We are looking for a Deputy Head Teacher that will be:

• Consistently excellent classroom practice resulting in high levels of pupil enjoyment and progress.

• Dedication to leading and promoting high quality teaching and learning.

• An ability to identify school priorities and strategically plan for improvements

• The ability to coach, mentor and support colleagues, embedding excellent practice
