A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join The Bridge Short Stay School at an exciting time, supporting us in continuing to build on our aspirations for the school and our students. We are looking to appoint an exceptional individual to fulfil the role of Deputy Headteacher with effect from September 2023 who will help drive ongoing improvement for some of the most vulnerable young people in Cheshire West. The role is wide ranging and will include strategic oversight of the Quality of Education within the school.

The Bridge works with students who have been permanently excluded or who are without a school place. Rated as ‘Good’ in all areas by OFSTED in May 2018 we are passionate about providing a second opportunity to students who have struggled in education previously. You will share our commitment to supporting young people to make a positive change in their lives, offering strong strategic and operational leadership for the school to deliver ongoing improvement.

As a key member of the school leadership, you will play a significant role in supporting the Headteacher to ensure our further development as a school, maintaining high aspirations for students, despite the challenges they face. This post will be integral to our work in developing the Quality of Education and gives the opportunity to have an influence on all aspects of school development.  You will join a happy and hardworking staff team who care deeply about improving the life chances of young people.

This role should be considered by an individual has the motivation, potential and drive to develop into Headship in the near future. You will be given the autonomy to develop your areas of responsibility, alongside high levels of support and access to CPD to ensure success.
